Description

The margins of Ibero-American imprints from the XVII and XVIII centuries are populated by meticulous flora and elusive chimeras. These filigrees, heirs to the chalcographic tradition, provide visual rhythm to Baroque thought. Upon observing them, the eye becomes lost in a labyrinth of ink that celebrates the aesthetic autonomy of typographic ornament.
