Marco Ovalado

Description

The elliptical window suspends the figure in an atmosphere of contemplation, a favored device of Viceregal visual arts between centuries XVII and XVIII. In traversing these canvases, the oval acts as a threshold that softens the transition toward the sacred or the secular. A geometry of intimacy that defines the Ibero-American Baroque gaze.
