Plate 121 of the Tudela Codex displays a distinctive "I"-shaped composition, structured into compartments of various colors and patterns. Within each section, recumbent or fallen human figures are depicted, suggesting possible sacrificial rites, death, or the representation of different groups. Created by an anonymous tlacuilo in the 16th century, this work fuses indigenous pictorial style with a Western organization and is accompanied by annotations in Spanish. It is an invaluable testimony to the Mesoamerican worldview and cultural adaptation during the early colonial period.
