The plate depicts a central deity, possibly Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli or an aspect of Quetzalcoatl, identifiable by its headdress and the band over its eyes, carrying a shield and a weapon. Around it, calendrical glyphs of the tonalpohualli are observed, including the "Lizard" (Cipactli) and "Wind" (Ehécatl) glyphs.
