Description

The anatomy of sacrifice articulates sacred discourse in Ibero-America between the XVI and XVIII centuries. Under the influence of Baroque naturalism, these pieces invite the contemplation of the tension between pain and redemption. Upon traversing them, the trace of a sensibility emerges that transformed the drama of Calvary into a symbol of identity.
